Today is the day! Finally, after a long rotation of 11 weeks (rotations are usually 8 weeks), it is time to start our Germany/Denmark adventure. I’ve made a couple changes to this travel blog since the last trip, so be sure to visit the page and check it out. http://thetravelgeeks.com If you are getting this post via email, remember that you should click on the link to “read more” at the end of the excerpt. You can always visit http://thetravelgeeks.com to see the latest posts. Navigation should be a lot easier with the new look.
We are spending about 4 days in Berlin, then biking from Berlin to Copenhagen over 1.5 weeks, and finally spending the end of our vacation in Copenhagen. We haven’t been to either of these countries, so we are looking forward to adding more flags to our travel map. The weather should be pretty nice with highs in the 70s. I welcome the break from the Texas heat, even though summer is only just starting. I fly out this afternoon, arriving in Amsterdam on Thursday morning. Mark will leave Algeria on Thursday morning and we will both meet in Marseille by Thursday afternoon. To get to Berlin, we need to then fly through Munich, but we will arrive in Berlin before dinner. We’ve rented an apartment in Berlin for our stay and we are looking forward to spending time with each other again. It’s been too long.
I never know how to designate the first day. Should Day 1 be Wednesday or Thursday? This time I’ll start Day 1 today. I probably change it each time. Hope you are having a good week and we’ll be in touch!
i’d say the day you leave your house counts as day 1 ๐ have a great trip, i’m sure you’ll love germany! try the marzipan ๐
